Izu penninsula is famous for Onsen (Hot springs) and there are 2,300 spots where hot water gushing out from underground.
Here are our recommendations when staying at the LOGOUT HOTEL.
① The closest “Shimogamo Onsen”
Shimogamo springs was found around 1560s when an injured kite was found healing its wounds in a hot spring.
The water of Shimogamo Springs is naturally salty, saltier than sea water. This is because the water has been contained in the benthic zone for more than 20 millions of years, which naturally discharges dissolving the minerals. The salt in the water adheres to your skin and warms up your body, a sensation that lingers for a long time.
This town managed facility “Ginnoyu kaikan” is the closest onsen from LOGOUT HOTEL. It takes about 15 min away by car and reasonable price.
There are indoor/outdoor baths, sleeping bath, sauna, massage chair etc.
