For Snorkelers “Hirizo Beach”

A Hidden Paradise: A Secluded Beach Only Accessible by Boat
This remote beach is one of Minami-Izu’s most sought-after destinations, accessible only by boat.
Nestled at the tip of the peninsula, it is surrounded by towering cliffs and remains untouched by development, as the entire area is part of a national park. The absence of rivers nearby, combined with its location at the southernmost coast of the Izu Peninsula—right in the path of the Kuroshio Current—has created ideal conditions for an underwater paradise.
Thanks to these unique factors, the beach is a premier snorkeling spot, where you can witness an abundance of tropical fish and vibrant coral reefs, making it feel like an exotic island escape.
Ferry service operates from July to September, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Ochii for family

Ochii is located under the national highway bridge. Although there’s no sandy beach—just a concrete-paved area and a small rocky shore.
What makes this place special is that it’s surrounded by a breakwater and tetrapods, which keep the waves calm. This makes it a great spot for young children to enjoy safely.
Despite the calm waters, the sea here is remarkably clear, offering excellent snorkeling opportunities where you can observe a variety of fish.
